Privacy Policy

Plain English: We collect the minimum data needed to run Superkids. We never sell your data. Kids' data is treated more strictly than adults'. You can ask us to delete everything anytime.
1. Who we are
Superkids is operated by Ashish Kathiriya (support@k5learn.com), based in India. If you have privacy questions, email us anytime.
2. What we collect — adults (parents/teachers)
- Email address (for sign-in and account recovery)
- Name (so we can address you properly)
- Payment information (handled entirely by Stripe / Razorpay — we never see card details)
- IP address and country (for currency detection and security)
- Usage data (which pages you visit, which workbooks you generate)
3. What we collect — children
For children's profiles created by parents:
- First name (only — never last name)
- Age
- Optional avatar
- Progress on activities (stars, completed workbooks)
We do not collect: photos, location, contact info, or any persistent device identifiers for children.
4. COPPA & DPDP compliance
For users in the United States: we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Parental consent is required before any data is collected about a child. Parents can review, delete, or refuse further collection at any time.
For users in India: we comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). Children under 18 require parental consent. We do not engage in targeted advertising to children.
5. How we use data
- To provide and improve our service
- To process payments
- To send essential service emails (password resets, payment receipts)
- To send marketing emails — only if you opted in; one-click unsubscribe always available
6. Who we share with
We share data only with these processors, and only what's necessary:
- Stripe & Razorpay — payment processing
- Anthropic & OpenAI — AI workbook generation (prompts only, no PII)
- Cloudflare — DNS and CDN
We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics resale companies.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies only: session cookie for login, CSRF cookie for security, and a currency-preference cookie. No third-party tracking cookies, no Facebook pixels, no Google Analytics.
8. Your rights
You can:
- Access all data we hold about you (email us)
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data (workbooks + progress)
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails
To exercise any of these, email support@k5learn.com. We respond within 24 hours.
9. Data retention
Active accounts: data retained while account is active. Deleted accounts: data wiped within 30 days. Backups expire 90 days later. Anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security: TLS for all connections, Argon2id password hashing, prepared SQL statements, encrypted storage for sensitive fields. We're not perfect, but we take this seriously.
11. Changes
We'll email you and post a notice on this page if we make material changes to this policy.
